The Sony CDP-C715 is a feature-rich 5-disc carousel CD changer designed for serious music listeners who want both flexibility and advanced sound control. In addition to continuous multi-disc playback, this model supports serial chain operation, allowing two CDP-C715 units to be connected together for expanded disc capacity and uninterrupted listening sessions.
At the heart of the CDP-C715 is a sophisticated digital audio architecture. It features a high-density linear D/A converter system, a 45-bit noise-shaping digital filter, and a single-mode pulse D/A converter. This design delivers precise signal conversion by generating four D/A outputs that handle both positive- and negative-phase left and right audio signals, resulting in clean, accurate sound reproduction.
The player is also equipped with a built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP), allowing you to recreate the ambience of real acoustic spaces. With one-touch selection, you can choose from seven sound field modesβHall, Church, Jazz Club, Stadium, Disco, Live Bloom, and BGM. Each sound field can be fine-tuned for tone and reverberation and stored as a custom DSP setting for individual discs.Note: DSP sound field processing applies to analog outputs only and is not active when using the optical digital output.
With fixed and variable analog outputs, a digital output, and multiple playback modes including continuous play, shuffle, and program, the CDP-C715 offers both audiophile-grade performance and everyday convenience in one classic Sony component.
